Honey Caramels

Recipe

Homemade treats are some of the best gifts you can give and these caramels are extra special and delicious.

2 cups heavy cream 2 cups honey 1 cup of butter  1 cup of light brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract fleur de sel salt for sprinkling (can sub sea salt)

Ingredients

large pot candy thermometer parchment paper 9 x 9 square pan

You'll also need:

Start by melting 2 sticks of butter in your pot over medium heat.

Then add 2 cups of heavy cream

Add 1 cup of packed light brown sugar

Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, until it reaches 230 degrees.

Once at 230 degrees, remove from heat and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then add 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Pour into a 9x9 parchment-lined pan. Let it sit for 1 hour.

Then sprinkle your  fleur de sel salt!

After cooling over night, cut into pieces on parchment.

Remember, if you made these for someone else...don't eat them all...
