Simple Spring Tablescape Idea

It may be spring according to the calendar, but in Chicagoland our weather can go from 70 degrees to 40 in less than 24 hours!

One way to bring a bit of spring inside the my home, in spite of the chill outside, is to add spring front and center on my dining table.

By adding a mix of faux garland and flowers with a few spring staples, I created a simple spring tablescape that is so easy to customize with items you may have at home, too!

I started with one of my favorite silver trays.

The more patina, the better!

Next, I added a 6 foot long faux fern garland to the tray.

You can use any type of spring garland for this.
I have a couple favorites like this faux ivy garland and this gorgeous eucalyptus garland.

I wrapped the garland in a small circle towards the middle, like a wreath, but left the ends of the garland to drape across the table.

It’s OK if the garland doesn’t lay flat at first.
We are going to nestle various spring pieces among the greenery.

Start with a large anchor piece.

I used this cute bunny.

Because nothing says spring more than a bunny.

just nestled in among the greenery

Next, I started to play with the placement of other spring object, like this cast iron bird and nest.

OK, aside from a cute bunny, nothing says spring more than a bird and her nest.

I found this precious quote when I was at the Spring Vintage Shop Hop and could not leave the shop without it!

I think it makes a pretty addition to my simple spring tablescape.

There is so much beauty all around us, sometimes all we need is a gentle reminder.

Spring reminds me of new growth, green grass and flowers popping up all around my back yard.

And birds singing and making nests

although sometimes they pick the craziest place for their nests

To add a bit of color, tuck various faux florals in the garland

I love these sweet little blush colored roses.

Next, I added a few of my favorite mercury glass Easter eggs

you can use any type of eggs that you have

To add height, I used a candlestick with another egg carefully placed on top…

but I think it was just a bit too high

And then I decided to try the bird and nest combo behind the bunny with some pale pink blossoms.

Once I removed the taller candlestick, and change where the bird and nest were located, I added a little tea cup nest.

You can find the DIY over here

and then I tucked in my favorite little clover plant for the perfect pop of green

and the little white blooms are just darling

After a bit of adjusting the accent pieces in my simple spring tablescape, I think it turned out so adorable.

The garland draping across the table is a pretty change from a traditional table runner.

I hope you enjoyed my twist on a the simple spring tablescape.

I wish you a very Hoppy Spring!
